Dear PDX Family,

With the onset of recent events involving the spread of the corona virus, COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions for your health and the safety of our Church Body.  The Elders have decided together that it would be wise to postpone our corporate gatherings and not have services tomorrow, the 15th and next Sunday, the 22nd.  We will keep you informed about further plans and please let us know of any needs you may have during this time.

We began last week the story of Gideon and how the Angel of the Lord called him a mighty warrior during a time of uncertainty and fear for the people of Israel.  Take some time to finish reading the story this week and see how the mighty hand of God prevailed for him and that God was in control all of the time. (Judges chapters 6&7)  This can be an encouragement to us that we never need to be afraid, because God has all things in mind and will bring about the very best for us if we trust Him!  Be praying for all of those with the virus and for those who have no hope in Christ when they are afraid.  Look for opportunities to share hope and be a blessing during the difficulties we are faced with.  Remember you are loved at PDX Church and God is always with you!

 Joshua 1:9

"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid for the Lord our God will be with you wherever you go."
